On Tuesday 12 of November 2024, the workshop on "Adaptation to Climate Change in the Agriculture and Livestock Farming Sectors" was held, organized and hosted by the Mariolopoulio - Kanaginio Foundation for Environmental Sciences, partner of the LIFE-IP AdaptInGR Project.
This is the 3rd event in a row, which is part of the LIFE-IP AdaptInGR Project's informative and networking activities, and aims to create a cycle of contacts between professional groups, as well as the exchange of knowledge and experience of their sector on climate change and adaptation issues. Corresponding workshops with representatives of the tourism and insurance sectors, as well as the shipping and ship-owning sectors, have been held previously.
The welcoming speech on behalf of the Marialopouleio - Kanaginio Foundation for Environmental Sciences was given by the member of the said Foundation and Academician, Andreas Karamanos, and the Secretary General of the Board and Professor of Medicine at the University of Athens, Polyxeni Nikolopoulou - Stamatis, followed by the greetings of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, George Stratakos, and the Secretary General of the Decentralized Administration of Attica, Gregory Zafeiropoulos.

The need for further information, networking and cooperation among professional groups and institutions for the adaptation of their business activity to climate change through the actions of the LIFE-IP AdaptInGR project was confirmed in the two-way productive discussion that followed among the participants and was held in an excellent atmosphere.
