The 2nd Info-Day for the regional adaptation of the region of Crete was successfully held online on 16 March 2022.
The Info-Day was opened by:
- the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Mr. Chr. Stylianides
- the Regional Vice Governor of Environment, Mr. N. Xyloyris
- the Permanent Secretary of Environmental Policy of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, Mr. C. Dimopoulos
- the governor or the region of Western Macedonia, Mr. G. Kasapidis, on behalf of EN.P.E. and, on behalf of K.E.D.E.,
- the Mayor of the Municipality of Trikala and President of K.E.D.E., Mr. D. Papastergiou and
- the Mayor of the Municipality of Hersonissos, Mr. I. Segkos.
There was the active participation of the audience throughout the event, who asked questions to the speakers. In addition, the participants had the chance to watch the short movie that won the Special Award of the LIFE-IP AdaptInGR national school competition and the movie “Before the Flood” produced by National Geographic, on climate change. The event was finalised with an interesting discussion that involved the importance of energy in climate change adaptation.

The Info-day was organized by the Association of Greek Regions (ΕΝ.P.Ε.), the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (K.Ε.D.Ε.), Elliniki Etairia, Society for the Environment and Cultural Heritage (ΕLLΕΤ) and the Region of Crete.
