The 2nd Regional Info-Day of the LIFE-IP AdaptInGR project will be launched on the 16th of March 2022. The event will be hosted by the Region of Crete and will be held online, due to the restrictions caused by the ‘Covid-19’ pandemic outbreak.
At the 1st session of the event, distinguished scientists and members of the working group of the Regional Adaptation Action Plan of Crete shall inform the citizens of Crete about the Action Plan and the impacts of the most vulnerable sectors of their region. The sectors that will be discussed during the Info-Day will be:
- Biodiversity
- Water resources
- Energy
- Tourism
- Coastal Zones
- Agriculture
- Cultural Heritage
At the 2nd session, documentaries on worldwide climate change impacts will be screened.

The Union of Greek Regions and the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece, in collaboration with the Region of Crete, are responsible for the organization of the 2nd Regional Info-Day. Moreover, Elliniki Etairia Society for the Environment and Cultural Heritage (ELLET) is responsible for the documentary session.
13 Regional Info-Days are foreseen to be organized in the framework of the LIFE-IP AdaptInGR project, one in each region of Greece. The events are open to the general public and aim at informing on and raising awareness on climate change adaptation. The 1st Regional Info-Day was successfully held at the region of Western Greece Region while in 2022 2 more are planned to be launched at the Region of Ionian Islands and the Region of Central Greece.
