The event is open to the public and will take place at the Great Club of Kavala (Kyprou 12-14, Kavala) from 10:30 to 15:00. It is noted that no pre-registration is required for attendance and admission is free.

The purpose of the Conference is to inform and raise awareness among the residents of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace about the adaptation of their Region to climate change, through the presentation of relevant policies and strategic plans.

The 1st Section of the Conference will include a presentation of the Regional Plan for Climate Change Adaptation (RPCA) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and presentations by distinguished speakers on the most important vulnerable sectors, as well as innovative technologies for addressing the impacts of climate change. The conference will focus on the following thematic sections: Primary Sector & Forest Systems, Agriculture, Coastal Zones and Civil Protection.

The 2nd Section of the Conference includes the screening of video clips on the impacts of climate change on the landscape and cultural heritage in Europe and the wider Mediterranean region. The video excerpts are particularly relevant today, in the era of climate change and the multiple challenges we are called to manage, offering food for thought for the present and the future. This will be followed by a presentation entitled “Adaptation of landscape, land uses of PAMT to Climate Change” by ELLET, followed by a discussion.
