Organization of the three-day capacity building workshop in the Region of Northern Aegean
The three-day capacity building workshop for the adaptation of the Region of Voreio Aigaio to climate change will take place physically on 5-7 July 2023 in the islands of Mytilini, Chios and Samos, as follows:
- Room «Ioannis Pavlakellis », Lesvos Chamber, P. Kountourioti 7, Mytilini-Lesvos
- Room «Michail Bournou », Regional building of the Region of Voreio Aigaio in Chios, Polytechneiou 1, 2nd floor, Chios
- Conference Room, Regional building of the Region of Voreio Aigaio in Samos, Dervenakion 1 & Aleksi Aleksi, 1st floor, 83100, Samos
The workshop is being co-organized by the Green Fund and the Region of Voreio Aigaio in the context of action C.6 of the LIFE-IP AdaptInGR project, which aims at building the country's capacity to adapt to climate change. This will be the 6th out of the thirteen (13) regional capacity building workshops which are foreseen in the project (one for each Region in Greece).
The aim of the workshop is to provide the necessary knowledge and tools to the public services, professionals, and other key stakeholders of the area regarding climate change adaptation, giving emphasis on the most vulnerable sectors of the Region of Voreio Aigaio, as well as to enable the implementation of Voreio Aigaio’s Regional Adaptation Action Plan.
