LIFE-IP AdaptInGR capacity building workshop in the Region of Western Macedonia
The three-day capacity building workshop for the adaptation of the Region of Western Macedonia to climate change will take place in Kozani, at Tselikas hotel, on 19-21 October 2022.
The workshop is being co-organized by the Green Fund and the Region of Western Macedonia in the framework of action C.6 of the LIFE-IP AdaptInGR project, which aims at building the country's capacity to adapt to climate change. This will be the 4th out of the thirteen (13) regional capacity building workshops, which are foreseen in the project (one for each Region in Greece). The workshop targets at 3 key stakeholder groups in the Region:
(a) Decision-makers,
(b) Technical and other staff of regional and local authorities, and
(c) Stakeholders (including professional groups of sectors affected by the impacts of climate change).
The workshop aims to provide the necessary knowledge and tools to public authorities and other stakeholders regarding climate change adaptation, focusing on the most vulnerable sectors of the Region of Western Macedonia, as well as to enable the implementation of the Western Macedonia’s Regional Adaptation Action Plan.
