4th info-day on adaptation to climate change,18/10/2022, Kozani, Region of Western Macedonia
The 4th Regional info-day of the LIFE-IP AdaptInGR project is being held in Kozani, the capital of the Region of Western Macedonia on 18 October 2022, in the venue "Konstantinos Karamanlis", on the ground floor of the Administration of the Region of Western Macedonia (ZEP region, Kozani) and is open for the public.

This is the first live info-day of the project, with the possibility of attending online for those who cannot participate in person.
The info-day aims to inform and raise awareness of the citizens of Western Macedonia to adapt their Region to climate change, following the provisions of their "Regional Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change (RAAP/PeSPKA)”.
In the 1st Session of the info-day, distinguished scientists and representatives of key stakeholders for RAAP implementation, shall inform the citizens of Western Macedonia about the impacts of climate change in their Region and the adaptation solutions included in their RAAP.
The info-day will allow further insights into the most climate-vulnerable regional sectors:
- energy and de-lignification,
- infrastructure,
- civil protection,
- water resources,
- biodiversity,
- agriculture,
- cultural heritage and
- innovative technologies.
In the 2nd Session, the movie “We the Power” by David Garrett Byars will be screened, showing the possibilities of renewable energy for energy communities.

The Union of Regions of Greece (ENPE), the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE) and the Region of Western Macedonia are responsible for the organization of the 1st Session of the event, while the Elliniki Etairia (ELLET) – Society for the Environment and Cultural Heritage is responsible for the 2nd Session.
13 Regional Info-Days are foreseen to be organized in the framework of the LIFE-IP AdaptInGR project, one in each Region of Greece. The first three Regional Info-days have been successfully organized in the Regions of Western Greece, Crete and Ionian Islands, while an info-day for the Region of Central Greece is scheduled for the coming months.
