The Municipality of Agioi Anargyroi-Kamatero has been awarded the “Bravo Sustainability Awards -Bravo Environment pillar” prize for the study entitled ‘Development of a model water system for the rainwater management’ of Gerovouno area in the Municipality of Agioi Anargyroi-Kamatero, implemented in the framework of the LIFE-IP AdaptInGR project.
The study aims to construct a pilot water system to harvest the rainwater runoff from Gerovouno area and transfer it to the "Antonis Tritsis" Metropolitan Park , in order to prevent flooding and reuse the harvested water to meet the park’s water needs.
The action is in progress and the elaboration of the study is expected to initiate in the coming autumn.
