In the context of the COP26, the Bank of Greece co-organizes together with the European Association of Co-operative Banks (EACB) and the banking groups BBVA and Nordea, the digital event “Climate action in banking: sharing our progress, learnings, and challenges». The event will take place on the 4th of November 2021 (14:30-15:30 GMT /16:30 – 17:30 EET) and is part of the official programme of the European Union at the COP26.

The COP26 is taking place in Glasgow, between 31 October and 12 November 2021 and its decisions aim to be a turning point in the global effort to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement, keep the temperature rise below 1.5°C, and secure the financing needed. Leaders from all around the world, members of the civil society, and representatives from businesses and the markets, participate to discuss how to coordinate and enhance climate action on a global scale.
